It has been one of the most anticipated games of this year. While the game has been adored by many for its narrative and immersive experience, many have questioned the game&#8217;s restrictions. One of such restrictions in <strong>Resident Evil Village<\/strong> is the limited FOV (field-of-view) and vignette coverage. Not only <strong>Resident Evil Village<\/strong>, but these limitations have been an issue with the previous instalments in the franchise, too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not only does the limited FOV and vignette coverage ruin the immersive experience of the game, but it can also cause motion sickness for many players. Fortunately, we have a work-around for this annoying issue! In this article, we will explain how you can fix the <strong>Resident Evil Village<\/strong> FOV and vignette coverage issue on PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How To Fix The Resident Evil Village FOV &amp; Vignette Issue On PC?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A user by the name <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nexusmods.com\/residentevilvillage\/users\/5292331\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Maceyaface<\/a> <\/strong>on <strong>Nexus Mods<\/strong> has created a mod for <strong>Resident Evil Village<\/strong> that enables you to change the FOV and vignette coverage of the game in real-time. Additionally, there are few other features of the mod, too. You can download and install the mod from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nexusmods.com\/residentevilvillage\/mods\/10?tab=description\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Features:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trainer:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>FOV sliders and vignette slider that update the in-game FOV and vignette in real-time,<\/li><li>Separate FOV sliders for base FOV, zoom FOV, and vignette,<\/li><li>Hotkey (<strong>F1<\/strong>) to toggle fix off for cutscenes (if that&#8217;s something you&#8217;d like),<\/li><li>Update agnostic,<\/li><li>Remembers the last set FOV and vignette, and auto-sets it.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HardMod Edition:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Edits the game&#8217;s <strong>.exe<\/strong> file directly, so you only ever have to open the game,<\/li><li>Can fix the base FOV and zoom FOV,<\/li><li>Update agnostic.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What&#8217;s The Difference Between The Resident Evil Village Trainer &amp; HardMod Edition?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trainer:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>It can dynamically change the FOV and vignette coverage of the game, quickly and easily. Based on your preference, it also has a hotkey (<strong>F1<\/strong>) to turn off fix for cutscenes. You can also update agnostic. However, you have to run it in the background every time you play the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HardMod Edition:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This is more of a permanent fix. You only need to run the game and not the mod in the background as well. It can also update agnostic but you&#8217;ll have to re-run the patch each time the game receives an update. Unlike the Trainer, it can&#8217;t change anything dynamically and there&#8217;s no hotkey for the cutscenes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How To Install The Mod?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trainer:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Download the tool from the URL mentioned above.<\/li><li>Open the archive and extract the file inside the folder called &#8220;<strong>Trainer<\/strong>&#8221; onto your computer.<\/li><li>Open the tool.<\/li><li>Start the game with the tool running in the background and you&#8217;ll be able to change the FOV and vignette coverage in real-time using the respective sliders.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HardMod Edition:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Download the tool from the URL mentioned above.<\/li><li>Open the archive and extract the file inside the folder called &#8220;<strong>HardModEdition<\/strong>&#8221; to your computer.<\/li><li>Move the file into the root game directory, next to the <strong>re8.exe<\/strong> file.<\/li><li>Open the tool and follow the prompts to change the FOV and vignette coverage as per your desire.<\/li><li>Once it says &#8220;<strong>Done!<\/strong>&#8220;, you&#8217;re all finished.
