{"id":77416,"date":"2020-08-31T16:22:27","date_gmt":"2020-08-31T11:22:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thenerdmag.com\/?p=77416"},"modified":"2020-08-31T16:23:24","modified_gmt":"2020-08-31T11:23:24","slug":"horizon-zero-dawn-1-03-patch-notes-patch-now-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thenerdmag.com\/horizon-zero-dawn-1-03-patch-notes-patch-now-available\/","title":{"rendered":"Horizon Zero Dawn 1.03 Patch Notes \u2013 Patch now available"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em><strong><em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenerdmag.com\/tag\/horizon-zero-dawn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Horizon Zero Dawn<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/em>is an action role-playing game from&nbsp;<em><strong><em><strong>Guerrilla Games<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>and&nbsp;<em><strong><em>Sony Interactive Entertainment<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>The title originally came out on the&nbsp;<em><strong><em>PS4&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/em>back in&nbsp;2017&nbsp;but is now available on<em><strong>&nbsp;PC&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>as well<em><strong>.<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp; Now, the Horizon Zero Dawn 1.03 Patch Notes are available as the update becomes live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This new patch also works on resolving crashes and adds improvements to the game itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HORIZON ZERO DAWN 1.03 PATCH NOTES<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Below are the complete patch notes for the latest update<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Known Issues<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Some players are experiencing an out of memory error during the game optimization process.<\/li><li>Some players are experiencing graphical settings issues, such as Anisotropic Filtering or HDR not working correctly.<\/li><li>Some players are experiencing performance issues on specific GPUs or hardware combinations.<\/li><li>We&#8217;re aware of and continue to investigate issues that are not yet solved on both the player-compiled lists by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/steamcommunity.com\/linkfilter\/?url=https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/horizon\/comments\/i712c3\/is_there_a_complete_list_of_all_known_issues_for\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">u\/EvilMonkeySlayer<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/steamcommunity.com\/linkfilter\/?url=https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/horizon\/comments\/iaqy0z\/complete_list_of_issues\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">u\/Rampage572<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 thank you!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Crash Fixes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Fixed a GPU resource leak which could build up over time and cause instability.<\/li><li>Fixed a GPU hang that caused a crash that could occur when Asynchronous Compute was used.<\/li><li>Fixed a crash when AI would try to aim at an invalid position.<\/li><li>Fixed a crash that could occur when sound obstruction was calculated in highly detailed areas.<\/li><li>Fixed a crash that would occur when moving the game to a monitor with different DPI settings while in the menu.<\/li><li>Fixed an issue where some players would crash on startup due to incorrect memory allocation.<\/li><li>Fixed a GPU hang that would occur when the window was resized to a very small size.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Progression Issues<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Fixed a progression issue where some players would remain a child and not transition to adult Aloy.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Functionality Issues<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Fixed an issue where snow deformation was not working correctly in the Frozen Wilds area.<\/li><li>Fixed an issue where the Concentration skill could stop working.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Other Improvements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>4K Scaling \u2013 Fixed an issue where the game wouldn\u2019t render at 4K properly on boot.<\/li><li>Frame Rate Limiter \u2013 Improved Frame Rate Limiter functionality to be more accurate.<\/li><li>Localization \u2013 Localized specific error messages.<\/li><li>Windows Version Check &#8211; The game checks if Windows 10 Build 1809 or above is used (lower versions cause instability in DirectX 12).<\/li><li>Minimum Spec Warning \u2013 Improved minimum spec warning message and options.<\/li><li>Saving Issue Warning \u2013 Clarified text that is displayed when you do not have access to your My document folder or enough disk space.<\/li><li>Player Profile Validation \u2013 The player profile is now validated and corrupt profiles (caused by manual editing or tweak tools) rejected.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>What do you think about these patch notes?
