If you want to install the Mount and Blade: Bannerlord 2 Realistic Battle, here&#8217;s how.<\/p>\n<p>Modding is a big thing with the Mount and Blade series, and this is just the start.<\/p>\n<h2>Mount and Blade: Bannerlord 2 Realistic Battle Mod<\/h2>\n<p>This mod will make the existing combat system far more realistic. The full list of features is described below the installation method.<\/p>\n<p>To install this mod, follow the steps below.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Download the mod files from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nexusmods.com\/mountandblade2bannerlord\/mods\/791?tab=files\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Nexus Mods<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Extract the files into the following location<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<pre><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">\/Program Files (x86)\/Steam\/steamapps\/common\/Mount &amp; Blade II Bannerlord\/Modules<\/span><\/pre>\n<ul>\n<li>Now, open Bannerlord 2, and tick <strong>Realistic Battle<\/strong> in the Singleplayer &gt; Mods tab<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That&#8217;s all you need to do to get this mod running next time you run the game.<\/p>\n<p>All credits for this mod go to Nexus Mods user <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nexusmods.com\/mountandblade2bannerlord\/users\/10881053\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Philozoraptor<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Realistic Battle Mod Features<\/h3>\n<p>These are all the features that come with this mod. These have been described by the mod creator.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"disc\">\n<li>In the base game, there are three types of damage: pierce, cut, and blunt. In this mod, each weapon type has unique armor-penetrating properties, which results in a more realistic experience. For example, the sword is poor at cutting heavy armor, the axe is better at this and mace punches through the best.<\/li>\n<li>values for weapon modifiers and few others are all configurable<\/li>\n<li>All units have their shields in front of them in all formations unless they are using 2 handed weapons.<\/li>\n<li>Unit defensiveness is set to higher factor, units now fight as if they&#8217;re trying to live through battle not speedrun it.<\/li>\n<li>Unlocked tactical options for AI, prepare for some interesting battles<\/li>\n<li>Projectiles now have historically accurate speed and their damage is based on their kinetic energy in the moment of impact. Arrows now serve as a damage modifier. Bow damage is based on its missile speed stat, damage stat on bow and crossbow means nothing now. Damage stat on javelins is again modifier.<\/li>\n<li>with these changes ranged damage is generally lower and if you or NPC archers want to shoot far you have to shoot in an ark.<\/li>\n<li>Javelins and throwing axes are good against lightly armored enemies and they can destroy shields now. Arrows now also deal with reasonable damage to shields.<\/li>\n<li>Shields now have realistic hitboxes ( vanilla their collision hitbox is much bigger than their visual size). This means arrow volleys or well-aimed shots can now go around a shield or even pass through shield wall. ( hitting arms, legs or legs that are sticking out ).<\/li>\n<li>As final result battles are much longer and more realistic now.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>Please make sure to read the Mod page for other recommended mods by the author, and to see potential fixes for any problems that come with the mod.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve covered a bunch of other Bannerlord 2 mods as well.
