Shenmue III will now release on 19th November 2019.<\/p>\n
\u00a0[before] August 27, 2019<\/span><\/p>\n[new] November 19, 2019 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nWhilst\u00a0almost ready, the game simply needs a little more refinement before being\u00a0truly finished.<\/p>\n
We feel that the extra time we have will help us deliver the true Shenmue experience players around the world deserve!<\/p>\n

Fans of the series have waited well over a decade for the story of Shenmue to continue, and the game managed to get a third entry in the series funded via Kickstarter. You can see that the crowdfunding campaign was a massive success raking in 69,320 backers, and all of them pledged $6,333,295 to make the game possible.<\/p>\n
Keep in mind, that the game is being delayed well before the anticipated release date, and with a game like this holding exceptionally high expectations, I am sure a small delay if needed to polish the game a little further, is definitely necessary.<\/p>\n
While Shenmue 3 is slated for the PC and PS4 later this year, the first 2 games have gotten re-releases on current gen consoles for people who didn’t own a Dreamcast to get in on the hype.<\/p>\n
If you are still waiting for Shenmue, trust in Yu Suzuki and believe that the extra months will be well worth the wait. If you can wait the most part of a decade for a sequel, a little bit more patience will do you well.<\/p>\n
