As the final patch of the season, it brings one last big surprise. A new item. Called the Shadow Bomb, the item is very similar to the purple cube from Season 7. Picking up the cube allowed you to take on a shadow form that allowed you to be invisible for 45 seconds, unable to attack.<\/p>\n<h2>Fortnite Patch 8.51 &#8211; An overpowered item?<\/h2>\n<p>The patch has nothing really noteworthy to tell. It only brings a new item into the fray, which sounds like it has a lot of potential to be a real game changer, especially at the end game when stuff is frantic.<\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"zeen-lazy-load-base zeen-lazy-load\" title=\"FORTNITE -  SHADOW BOMB | NEW ITEM\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"about:blank\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/w1J1F9bGsBg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><noscript><iframe title=\"FORTNITE -  SHADOW BOMB | NEW ITEM\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/w1J1F9bGsBg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>The patch notes of the game describe it as such:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shadow Bomb<\/strong><br \/>\nBecome one with the shadows! Engulf yourself in darkness with this new item, becoming invisible to enemies, increasing your speed, and allowing the ability to perform double jumps.<\/p>\n<p>Shadow Bomb<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shrouds yourself in shadow, briefly becoming invisible to enemies.\n<ul>\n<li>6-second duration<\/li>\n<li>User becomes more visible to others near the end of the effect.<\/li>\n<li>Increases your movement speed, provides the ability to double jump, and wall jump.\n<ul>\n<li>Players are unable to attack, build, or loot while under the effects of the Shadow Bomb.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Rarity: Uncommon<\/li>\n<li>Can hold a maximum of 6<\/li>\n<li>Can be found from Floor Loot, Chests, Supply Drops, and Supply Llamas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Keep in mind that this has a short duration, you become more visible as it fades out, but it also greatly boosts your mobility. Allowing for movements like double jumping and wall jumps. Whether you want to use it get a flank on your enemy or to make a quick escape is your own prerogative.<\/p>\n<p>The game is currently up and didn&#8217;t have to do routine downtime to implement the patch. However, you still need to download the patch on all platforms you have Fortnite installed on.<\/p>\n<p>As soon as you install the patch and boot the game, you should be able to access the item, depending on how lucky you are in finding it.<\/p>\n<p>What are your thoughts on the Shadow Bomb?
