While the RE Engine is a very well optimized engine with tons of settings, some players are getting stutters. Here&#8217;s how you can fix the Devil May Cry 5 Stuttering on your PC.<\/p>\n<h2>Fix Devil May Cry 5 Stuttering<\/h2>\n<p>The method is relatively simple and safe, but we still suggest making a backup of all the files we&#8217;ll edit<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Head over to your main game folder, which should be in<\/li>\n<li>Steam\/steamapps\/common\/DMC5<\/li>\n<li>Now open the file named &#8220;dmc5config.ini&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Edit the following sections<\/li>\n<li><strong>Capability<\/strong>=DirectX12 to <strong>Capability<\/strong>=DirectX11<\/li>\n<li><strong>TargetPlatform<\/strong>=DirectX12 to <strong>TargetPlatform<\/strong>=DirectX11<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The game doesn&#8217;t provide the option to change the DirectX version from 12 to 11 and it&#8217;s likely causing issues for some GPUs.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure you&#8217;ve downloaded the latest drivers for both AMD and NVIDIA as well. Both updates provide performance boosts for Devil May Cry 5.
