It is rumored that Axis animation, the studio that helped with VFX work on the 2014 video game by the same name, has undertaken the project.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Back in 2014, Sega released Alien Isolation, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenerdmag.com\/tag\/horror-games\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">horror-survival<\/a> video game that was based on the\u00a0<i>Alien<\/i>\u00a0science fiction\u00a0horror film series. The game was released on a multitude of platforms such as the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. Developed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenerdmag.com\/tag\/creative-assembly\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Creative Assembly<\/a>, the game offered an enthralling first-person experience of space station exploration.<\/p>\n<p>The idea behind the game was that of combining the aspects of stealth and survival with horror. Fast forward to today and we have reason to believe that instead of a video game, an animated series is in development based on the aforementioned video game.<\/p>\n<h3>Rumor: R-Rated Alien Isolation Animated Series in Development<\/h3>\n<p>This rumor comes in part from <a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/hnentertainment.co\/exclusive-two-live-action-alien-series-are-in-the-works-and-ridley-scott-is-producing-one-at-hulu\/\" target=\"_blank\">HNentertainment<\/a> where it was reported that multiple live-action series set within Ridley Scott\u2019s\u00a0<em>Alien\u00a0<\/em>universe were in development. Adding to that report, a new<a rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/observer.com\/2019\/02\/alien-isolation-series-disney-fox-sale-box-office\/\" target=\"_blank\"> source<\/a> has claimed that among the aforementioned live-action series there is also an animated show in the works based on the Alien Isolation video game.<\/p>\n<p>Supposedly, the\u00a0Alien Isolation Animated Series in question will have a 7 episode run and could arrive as early as April this year. Essentially, the story follows a character named Amanda Ripley, who is\u00a0a daughter to Sigourney Weaver\u2019s character Ellen Ripley. Amanda is sent with a team to recover the flight recorder of her mother\u2019s ship. This mission as you can already predict goes awry with an unforeseen Alien attack. This story serves as a plot to the video game and to the rumored animated series.<\/p>\n<p>How much truth there is to the rumor remains to be seen.
