Redmi Go is Xiaomi’s first ever Android Go certified smartphone. It is a generic budget phone that we have seen time and time again in the past months, however, this time it has a lighter Android OS i.e. Android Go. Moreover, you can now download Xiaomi Redmi Go Stock Wallpapers on your own phone.

Keeping the competition alive, the Chinese manufacturer announced the Android Go based smartphone last month. Xiaomi Redmi Go is essentially a budget-oriented smartphone that now comes with an OS that is easier to run. Android Go is just that, a toned down version of the standard Android OS meant for budget smartphones.

Xiaomi Redmi Go Specs and Design

Since the phone is going to cost a mere 80 USD, it is fair not to expect any miracles when it comes to specs. Xiaomi Redmi Go is your run of the mill, 5-inch display, 720p resolution smartphone. It has a quad-core Snapdragon 425 (28 nm), 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM with the option to expand via MicroSD.

As you can see the specs are utterly basic and the phone seems to be oriented towards emerging markets. That single GB of RAM really calls into question the multitasking capability of the phone but at this point, you know what this phone is, so expecting anything more is delusional.
