Sony’s PlayStation Devcon 2018 is probably going to be one of the most important events in 2018 since there are rumors suggesting that the announcement or discussion of PlayStation 5 will be held at this very conference.

Sony’s PlayStation Devcon 2018 is being held at London and this information comes from the Devcon’s website URL, Sony hasn’t announced anything officially and it seems they don’t want most of what goes on at Devcon to be revealed to the public just yet as there is little to none discussion about this event.

If you visit the page currently, you’ll get the following

Not only this, but there are various sections including Agenda, Exhibitors, Location Accommodation, FAQ that require a login as well.

Keep in mind that these Devcons are quite hush-hush and the information revealed here doesn’t become available to users when it is discussed here, but given Sony’s recent interest in next generation and no real upcoming hardware, we can pretty much assume that this is going to be related to the inevitable PS5.

Sony has been posting job listings for a Senior product manager for next generation as well

Given the nature of this event, only the location is available for the public at the moment, which is London, and not even a specific area.

Apart from that, the Schedule, and what exactly is to be discussed in which manner, is set to private, even the FAQs section is only available for people who will be attending the event.

We will share more news about these when we know the specific details.

Kenichiro Yoshida has also been hinting at next-gen for PlayStation as well, by saying

Sony’s PlayStation Devcon 2018

This is is all the webpage shows, if you go over to the Conference section of this page, you are required to login and a warning appears that this section is only available for delegates that are given a seat at the event, so if you want to get any information about this event, you’re out of luck.
