This is a real milestone achieved by <em>Microsoft<\/em>. <em>Microsoft<\/em> achieved the milestone in quite shorter period. About six months back, the number was 100,000. And now, the number of apps in\u00a0<em>Windows Phone Store<\/em> have been doubled, making it 200k. Recently, <em>Windows Store<\/em> also <a title=\"Windows Store apps reaches 100k\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thenerdmag.com\/windows-store-apps-reaches-100000-number\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reached 100k apps<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4478\" title=\"windows-phone-store-200k\" alt=\"windows-phone-store-200k\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thenerdmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/gsmarena_001.jpg\" width=\"594\" height=\"342\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4478\" title=\"windows-phone-store-200k\" alt=\"windows-phone-store-200k\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thenerdmag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/gsmarena_001.jpg\" width=\"594\" height=\"342\" \/><\/noscript>That is definitely good news for both developers and users.\u00a0<em>Microsoft<\/em> has another exciting news for developers. <em>Microsoft<\/em> claims that it has most carriers connected for carrier billing in all smartphone platforms. It has <strong>51 carriers in 31 markets<\/strong>. Here are official words from <em>Microsoft,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px; text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8220;We are also continuing to invest in establishing carrier billing connections, recognizing that in many markets (especially those where credit card penetration is low) the preferred method for consumers is to purchase apps via your carrier and the billing relationship you already have established. In fact, we see an increase in transaction volume of over 6x in developing markets when carrier billing is enabled. Just this week, we reached a major milestone of 51 carrier connections\u00a0across 31 markets, substantially more than any other smartphone platform, and with more in the works for the new calendar year.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Windows Phone<\/em> is growing day by day. This year sees the <strong>fastest growth of Windows Phone <\/strong>platform. Popular Game Developers like <em>Gameloft<\/em>, <em>Rockstar Games <\/em>and\u00a0<em>Rovio<\/em> are releasing their games on <em>Windows Phone p<\/em>latform as they launched them on other two popular platforms <em>Android<\/em> and <em>iOS<\/em>. Other important apps like <em>Foursquare<\/em> and <em>Instagram<\/em>\u00a0which were previously not there for <em>Windows Phone\u00a0<\/em>platform\u00a0have also made their debut on <em>Windows Phone<\/em> platform. So, &#8216;<em>app gap&#8217;<\/em> is decreasing day by day between three most popular mobile operating systems.
