While the Gears of War series only came to pass on the Xbox 360, the series has become a staple of the console. While Gears of War 4 didn’t have the reception Microsoft hoped for, it seems that the company is looking to make amends with Gears of War 5. As we take a first look at the Gears of War 5 E3 2018 Reveal Trailer we can see plenty of love going into the game.<\/p>\n
While Gears of War 4 was a great entry to the series bringing new faces to the formula and putting the original crew on the bench, it seems that Gears of War 5 is looking to mix up the formula if we are to go by the information just shown and told at Microsoft’s E3 2018 conference.<\/p>\n
While the trailer shows a new group of soldiers, a new team, and a new mission for them to carry out. The game takes place after the events of Gears of War 4 and tells a whole new story with everything getting a fresh coat of paint. Whether or not we will see the old crew or the crew from Gears of War 4 as part of the game is still not certain, but there will still be more to come.<\/p>\n

Players will get to go through more colorful and detailed worlds than ever before and experience a whole new story as for the first time in the series, there is a female protagonist, Kate who has a complicated history with the locusts. This can make for a very intriguing game and the series will now have to get used to a 2-man squad as opposed to a 4-man squad.<\/p>\n
Now, with all of this in mind, we need to remember that Microsoft and Gears of War was a winning combination on the Xbox 360 with each entry to the series outperforming the last in every aspect, but Gears of War 4 wasn’t the win Microsoft was hoping for. While Microsoft has been hush on the return\u00a0of the series we can hope that there is some future for the series as the console just isn’t the same with the boys and their weapons taking on threats to the planet.<\/p>\n
While the trailer only gave so much, we have to watch out for more news on Gears of War 5 in the coming months.<\/p>\n
