The harbinger of all smartphones has done something special for its consumers this year by releasing not only its traditional duo of game changing smartphones (iPhone 8 and 8 Plus), but a third special edition device called the iPhone X marking the tech giant’s 10-year anniversary. As beautiful and well- equipped in terms of features as the iPhone X is, it is out of budget for most of Apple’s users. The model iPhone X is a little heavy on the pockets as compared to the rest of Apple’s smartphones and understandably so, considering all the versatile new improvements.

For the masses, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are the more considerable options. The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus bear striking similarities with their predecessor duo, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. So much so, that it is difficult to tell them apart. You can only differentiate between the two by looking at their backs. Apple has replaced the previous all-aluminum body with a new glass back cover. The duo, despite the change in materials is still water and dust resistant. In addition, the wireless charging feature has been introduced for the first time ever on iPhone 8 and 8 Plus and the iPhone X.

In terms of hardware, the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus feature the most durable glass ever in a smartphone, has the same LED-backlit IPS LCD displays, 12MP camera sensors, and a home button with Touch ID, feature a 4.7-inch display, while the iPhone 8 Plus features a slightly larger 5.5-inch display upgraded with True Tone support, designed to adapt color temperature and intensity to the ambient light in a room for a more natural experience, 3D Touch and P3 wide color support for a greater range of colors continue to be available. Speaking of sizable upgrades, the new iPhones support a A11 Bionic processor and wired fast charging (50% charge in 30 minutes), stereo speaker setup in the device updated to be 25 percent louder with deeper bass and a brand-new Gold color!
