The phone will be supported by Huawei for software updates for at least 2 years from its launch date. But there are some custom ROMs available for Huawei P9 Lite\u00a0and you might want to install them to have a different experience\u00a0and to install them you have to unlock the bootloader first.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a simple and easy guide to unlock the bootloader of Huawei P9 Lite.<\/p>\n<h2>Prerequisites:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure your phone is at least 40% charged.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure the ADB and USB drivers are installed on your PC. (log in if you already have an account).<\/li>\n<li>Go to Downloads &gt; Unlock Bootloader.<\/li>\n<li>Fill out the form with all the information you collected.<\/li>\n<li>Note down the unlock code which will be shown on the same page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Unlock using ADB<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Connect your phone with the USB cable to your computer.<\/li>\n<li>Type the command \u2018adb reboot bootloader\u2018 in command prompt and hit enter.<\/li>\n<li>Your phone will be restarted and it will boot into bootloader mode.<\/li>\n<li>Now type the command\u00a0\u2018fastboot oem unlock [unlock code]\u2018 (for example\u00a0&#8220;fastboot oem unlock 5822667581244265&#8221;) and hit enter.<\/li>\n<li>Your device will show a warning, select yes with the volume keys.<\/li>\n<li>Reboot your phone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That&#8217;s it. You&#8217;ve unlocked the Bootloader of Huawei Honor 8.
