The new OS comes with revamped user interface, improved Notification Center, widgets and more. Yosemite is available as a free upgrade for all users. So, most of the users can simply download the latest OS and can upgrade. However, some users may wish to have a complete clean and new installation of the OS. So, what to do in such case? Well, all you need is to create bootable OS X Yosemite USB.<\/p>\n<h1>Steps to create bootable OS X Yosemite USB:<\/h1>\n<p>The tutorial is quite simple. Although you can try third party softwares too for the task, here we make use of default too available in Mac OS. So, what files and hardware you need before continuing with the procedure? Well, here is the list,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8GB or \u2018Greater\u2019 USB<\/li>\n<li>\u2018Install OS X Yosemite.zip\u2019 file downloaded from Mac Store (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenerdmag.com\/os-x-yosemite-available-now\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Download from here<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now, let\u2019s move to the actual tutorial to create bootable OS X Yosemite USB,<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Connect your USB drive with Mac.<\/li>\n<li>Start \u2018Disk Utility\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Select USB drive from the left sidebar.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u2018Erase\u2019 tab from right.<\/li>\n<li>Now, click on \u2018Erase\u2019 button. (MAKE SURE THAT THE TITLE IS SET TO \u2018Untitled\u2019 AND THE FORMAT TO \u2018Mac OS Extended (Journaled)\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Now move to \u2018Partition\u2019 tab.<\/li>\n<li>Select \u20181 Partition\u2019 from Partition Layout menu.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u2018Options\u2019 button and select \u2018GUID Partition Table\u2019 as partition scheme.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u2018OK\u2019 button.<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u2018Apply\u2019 button to create this partition. (MAKE SURE THAT THE TITLE IS SET TO \u2018Untitled\u2019 not \u2018Untitled 1\u2019 or so)<\/li>\n<li>Now, start Terminal.<\/li>\n<li>Type following command and press ENTER\n<div class=\"td-paragraph-padding-4\"><em>sudo \/Applications\/Install OS X Yosemite.app\/Contents\/Resources\/createinstallmedia &#8211;volume \/Volumes\/Untitled &#8211;applicationpath \/Applications\/Install OS X Yosemite.app \u2013nointeraction<\/em><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>You will now be prompted to write your Mac password, do so and then press ENTER.<\/li>\n<li>It will take 10-20 minutes for the process to complete.
