As Windows 8.1 is going to release in the next month, one can still image when Microsoft is going to release Windows Phone 8.1. There are not so many rumors about the release of Windows Phone 8.1 however our sources have confirmed that Microsoft plans to release the Windows Phone 8.1 in first quarter of 2014 possibly in February.
Still months before its release, some features of Windows Phone 8.1 are revealed. Windows Phone 8.1 will introduce a Notification Centre. There was no Notification Centre previously in Windows Phone series. Another separate tile named ‘People’ will be also included to show Skype and Outlook notifications.
Windows Phone 8.1 also brings a new feature that allows you to select multiple times simultaneously in order to form a group as in Windows 8. Thus it seems that Microsoft is planning to equip Windows Phone 8.1 with features of Windows 8. Moreover, its is also revealed that Windows Phone 8.1 will also enable you to sync Accent Colors with Windows 8.
But before the release of Windows Phone 8.1, Microsoft is sure to bring a GDR3 Update. The GDR3 Update will include a number of new features. We can expect Microsoft to release a new smartphone equipped with Windows Phone 8.1 next year but still it is in rumors only.
