WhatsApp has over 700 million active users across all platform. WhatsApp messaging count is now more than global messaging worldwide.
WhatsApp has now introduced the WhatsApp voice calling feature which will let you call other WhatsApp users over the internet for free. This feature should make cellular operators worry as it may affect the venue generated by the voice calling over network operator. . WhatsApp is already rolling out its voice calling feature to Android users now. But iPhone users are still waiting for the voice calling features. Now it seems like iPhone users won’t have to wait long.
According to the BGR, the company is testing WhatsApp voice calling feature for iPhone users as well. Voice calling is being tested on beta version of the app and it is not available for the general public yet.
As the feature has been rolled out in the beta version of the app so the official rollout should not be far.
There are a number of other apps like LINE and Viber which are offering voice calling over internet, but no app has as many active users as WhatsApp has. So people will surely use WhatsApp calling more than any other app.
There are no official words about WhatsApp calling on Windows Phone platform. But we hope that we should see it in a month or two.
