The wait is finally over. Warid has now begun offering 4G LTE trials to prepaid customers too. About a week back, the trials were initiated for postpaid customers. The users gave a very positive response about the speed.

If you are having a 4G LTE-enabled handset, Warid will surely get in contact with you. However, if you are not contacted, you need to do the job on your own. To check out whether you are in service area for Warid 4G LTE, you need to send ‘4G’ to 5555. If you are in service area, you need to call 321 and select ‘0’ for Warid customer representative. The representative will inquire about the handset of your phone. Afterwards, he/she will tell you whether it is supported or not. If supported, you will be asked either to visit Head Office to get the SIM for Rs. 100 immediately or to wait for 3-4 weeks to get your SIM delivered doorstep. You can afterwards enjoy Warid 4G LTE services on a go.

Now, here is a bad news. I have been using Warid since I got my first mobile. I did not even make a switch when all mobile companies launched their 3G/4G services. But today, I was shocked to learn about Warid 4G LTE and its spectrum. I am using hTC 8X and it supports 4G LTE of spectrum i.e. 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 1700 MHz, 1900 MHz and 2100 MHz. Warid is making use of 1800 MHz spectrum same as by ZONG 4G that is not available in various handsets. Only latest handsets i.e. Galaxy S5, hTC One M8, LG G3 are supporting it.

So, for me, it’s time to make a switch! This surely will disappoint many users. Warid need to consider this factor too if it wants to be in reach of common public and users. Don’t miss to have your words regarding Warid 4G LTE service and its limited support.
