Months bad we heard the rumours on hTC may release a hTC One M8 Windows Version. The rumours seems to be true now. HTC One M8 for Windows Phone is real and you need only follow a Verizon URL to prove it. HTC hasn’t yet announced the rumored device, but a photo was seen on Verizon’s server that seems to confirm that the phone is on its way to be launched. According to one of the reports on WP Central’s site which says that “HTC One M8 for Windows Phone” will be available from Verizon on August 21st. Hardware wise, it’s probably the same M8 that was running the Android Kitkat on it when it launched, but this one’s clearly aimed at fans of Microsoft’s OS.
When reached by some of the international bloggers, HTC declined to comment on the photo’s authenticity. hTC seems to host a press event on August 19th 2014, and it’s likely we’ll hear confirmation of the new, aluminum clad Windows Phone on that day. hTC One M8 with Windows would mark hTC’s first major Windows Phone for Verizon Wireless since 2012’s 8X; that phone is still sold for $49.99 on a two year contract.
Some of the International reports say that the phone should be launched by Verizon during the third quarter or in the end of September. Without the contract the price of the phone is listed as $610 and with contract the price is most likely to be as much as $199. Microsoft Stores are getting ready to take stock of numerous accessories, including the Dot View Case that leverages the new ‘smart cover’ feature found in Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 .
