Twitter has been testing some new features for its social site for few months now. One of them is the ability to share tweets via direct messages. Yesterday, Twitter has begun rolling out this amazing feature. In an official blog post, Twitter has lifted covers of its new feature.
According to the blog post, Twitter now enables to discuss a tweet privately with one of your followers. The feature has also been added to Android and iOS apps of the social network. On these apps, all you need is to long press the tweet which you want to share. You will see the new option ‘Share via Direct Message’ for the purpose. The person will receive a push notification as your tweet is shared. No comment has been made regarding this feature on Windows Phone app. We can expect it to be released within a month. On web, simply click on ‘••• More’ icon to see the option for sharing.
Twitter is already a great place for public conversation; now it’s also easier to privately discuss things you care about.
