Six years have passed since the first Championships event started. Afterwards that, widespread of the game was uncontrollable. More and more teams started to participate in the event. The International 2015 event was considered to be the biggest.With 16 teams with a total prize pool of 18 million. And you also remember the grand slam of the event of the Championships, the 6 million echo slam.

The 6 million echo slam:

The echo slam was the deciding point of the finals. Evil Geniuses were the victors, claiming the Aegis of the Champions after defeating CDEC gaming.

This year, The International 2016 total prize pool has crossed the 2015 with a total accumulation of 19 million and is still increasing with every purchase of the compendium (25% of all Battle Pass sales goes directly to the prize pool).

TI 2016 Details:

The main event will be starting from 8-13th August. Wild card qualifiers are set on 2nd August. Two of the 4 wild card teams will proceed in the group stages. 3rd,4th and 5th August is set for the group stage qualifications where their score will decide, either they go into the Upper Bracket or the Lower Bracket in the Main Event. Afterwards the Main Event starts from 8-13 August and the Champions is decided on the 13th August. How to get tickets for The International 2016 event? The midweek and final tickets sold out already. But a limited number of daily tickets are selling out through Monday-Thursday at West-box office at the Key Arena, Seattle.
