Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is an online action role-playing video game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The game has received generally positive reviews from both fans and critics and is being cited as a worthy sequel. With every PC release, there are bound to be bugs and performance issues, so here are some The Division 2 Bugs Fixes to improve your experience.
The Division 2 Bugs Fixes
We’ll be going over the detailed fix for each issue below
Improve frame times by capping Frame Rate using RivaTuner
- Download RivaTuner Statistics Server,
- input your desired framerate limit in the “Framerate limit” box, and hit enter (the program comes bundled with MSI Afterburner and earlier versions of EVGA PrecisionX).
- Alternatively, those with an Nvidia GPU have the option of Nvidia Inspector, which can also be used to impose a framerate cap, either in a similar manner to RTSS or by way of forcing a different vsync interval (click the small tool icon to open the game profile section).
Improve frame times by changing the display mode
Switching to exclusive fullscreen rather than borderless fullscreen potentially increases frame times.
Fix Crashing on Touch-Capable Systems running on Windows 10
If you’re experiencing crashes on a touch-capable system running on Windows 10, you can fix that by the following steps
- Open Task Manager
- Switch to the Services Tab
- Disable TabletInputService
Low FPS on PS4
Some players have reported frame drops while playing on the PS4 after extended periods. The current best fix for this is to either head to the Main Menu and resume or closing the game entirely and running it again.
Reduce Instability when using DX12
If you have stutters and constant frame drops using DX12, you can try disabling the uplay overly by following the steps below
- Head over to Uplay -> Settings -> General
- Untick “Enable in-game overlay for supported games”
Download the latest Drivers that support The Division 2 for NVIDIA and AMD
Make sure you’ve downloaded the latest drivers for both AMD and NVIDIA as well. Both updates provide performance boosts for The Division 2. You can download these at the following links
Fix The Division 2 No Sound Problem
Some players have reported that there is no sound coming through their Logitech headphones
- Verify your game through the client (just in case)
- Start Task Manager, select Processes, hit the “L” key, find something along the lines of “Logitech Surround Service“, end this process.
- If this doesn’t work, end the Logitech Game Software process as well
- Restart PC for good measure
