Microsoft seems to be working on the successor of its Surface Studio all-in-one PC. Surface Studio was initially launched back 2016 and we think its high time that an iteration is released with modern specs. This just might be the case since in recent Geekbench Results Surface Studio 2 was spotted having scored some impressive scores as well.

Surface Studio 2 by Microsoft Spotted in GeekBench Results

The original Surface Studio is a premium device in its own regard, however, it is far from perfect and lacked some pretty essential features for a premium device. Take for example the very limited number of connectivity ports. Hence, Surface Studio 2 is rumored to release with Thunderbolt 3 connectivity.

Let’s look into what the actual Geekbench score reveals about the upcoming Surface Studio 2.

As you can see the single core score is highly impressive at 4680 along with the multicore score which is 15915. The great thing about the Geekbench is that it also shows us the specs of the device so we know what to expect.

The Surface Studio 2 will host an Intel Core i7-7820HQ processor which seems very promising in terms of performance. It has 4 cores and 8 threads with a base and max frequency of 2.89 GHz and 3.89 GHz respectively.

As for the RAM and other specs we will have to wait till the official announcement but we can assume that there will be 8,16 and 34 gigs option for RAM just like the first Surface Studio. In the bench the displayed memory is 32 gigs however there will be options for 8 and 16 gigs as well.

Surface Studio 2 Release Date

We are afraid that at the current time not much can be said about the launch date. However, according to numerous rumors, it is believed that Microsoft will launch the Surface Studio 2 in the first quarter of Oct this year.

This is all for now, Leave us a comment and tell us what new features you will like to see in the upcoming Studio Surface PC.
