Stephen Hawking biopic “The Theory of Everything First Trailer Revealed

Stephen Hawking (Stephen William Hawking) is an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, author and Director of Research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology within the University of Cambridge. His work has been spread wide in the world and is famous for it. His significant worlds have been a collaboration with Roger Pensrose on gravitational singularity theorems in the frameworks of general relativity and the theoretical prediction that black holes emit radiation, often called Hawking Radiation.

Director James Marsh has been developing a movie in the tribute of Stephen Hawking. The film is due to be screened in the special presentations section at the upcoming Toronto international film festival. It stars Les Miserables’ Eddie Redmayne  as Stephen Hawking, with Felicity Jones as his wife.

The film starts from young Stephen Hawking and Jane’s first encounter at Cambridge University in 1964 and early academic successes. And his doctorate in advanced theories spacetime singularities at the centre of black holes. He is then diagnosed with neuron disease and told he may have two years to live.

It is not entirely clear from the trailer which periods the biopic covers. It appears to run until at least 1985 where he was given tracheotomy by doctors to save his life. The trailer shows Stephen Hawking hearing his now-famous synthesized voice for the first time.

The trailer foes not touch on Hawking’s later personal travails. That includes divorce from Jani in 1995 and a second marriage to his former nurse, Elaine Mason, which also ended in divorce. Cambridge police investigated allegations that the second Mrs. Hawking abused her husband in 2004. But the case was later dropped when Stephen Hawking himself declared that the statement was false.

The character of Stephen Hawking has been played by two other actors as well, Benedict Cumberbatch and Nathan Chapple as the scientist.

Other cast: David Thewlis, Emily Watson and Harry Lloyd.

Release date: It is due in US cinemas on 7 November, and arrives UK on 2 January.
