SteelSeries widely known for its PC and mobile gaming peripherals will introduce the controller in the CES 2014 Show. The name of the gaming controller that was announced was “Stratus” a Latin word that means forming a gray cloud. This is the first ever wireless controller that is compatible with iOS 7’s gaming controller API and the first made for iPhone controller to support iPad.
The Stratus contain dual analog sticks, a D pad, 4 action button and 4 shoulder buttons and all of them are pressure sensitive. It connects to you iPad, iPhone or iPod touch via Bluetooth. The battery timing is said to be approximately around 10hours on a full charge and it charges via USB cable and takes 2hours to fully charge. There is a Bluetooth on/off button to help you save the battery of the controller. Four LED’s are also placed on controllers that show up when you are connected during a multiplayer game and the maximum capacity that it could handle is 4.
