Skype update for iOS takes it to version 4.1.7, brings two-way video calling on ARM64 devices and more!

Since the release of iOS 7, we has seen many popular apps getting updated to add support for latest iOS and 64-bit devices i.e. iPhone 5S. One of such app is Skype. Skype is still the most widely used platform for making video calls. Previously we saw Skype getting updated for iOS 7. The update added new makeover and some fixes in it. Now here is another update to Skype bringing it to version 4.1.7, in general. However the update also adds SOMETHING for 64-bit devices.

The update brings two-way HD video calling now on A7 devices i.e. iPhone 5S, iPad Air and iPad Mini Retina. The feature was previously introduced too however due to lack of processing power, it was abandoned in the last versions. However the new Apple’s 64-bit devices are powerful enough to feature it. Now you can make use of both the cameras of your device during video-calling.

Coming to some other features, the Skype update also introduces the Push notifications. ‘Push Notifications’ feature has been in wait since long. And now finally it lands on Skype. Now even when Skype is notified, you can get noted regarding messages. Moreover there is improvement in chatting and Chat synchronization.

If you are a Skype user, you can simply upgrade to the latest app. The new users can download the app from iTunes (For iPhone, For iPad). The app is FREE of cost to download.

In the end, Special Thanks to iDownloadBlog.com for getting the users notified about the update.
