Samsung Galaxy M series is the company’s take on the budget line of smartphones. The original rumors regarding the M series surfaced around 6 months ago. Today, for the first time, Samsung has made an official announcement on their website about the launch date of the phone.
Samsung Galaxy M series would include three smartphones initially, The M10, M20, and M30. Although the entire M series is budget oriented, the M30, however, would offer the most specs and a relatively high price.
Samsung Galaxy M Series Would First Launch In India On 28th Jan
We haven’t had any real design leaks of the M series, however, for the first time we have some pictures of the M20 courtesy of the microsite created by Samsung for its M devices.
However, Samsung has not named the M series smartphone that is featured on the website. It is believed that this device is the M20 which is the only device in the M series to feature a dual camera. The M30 is expected to feature a triple camera design on the back, whereas, the M10 will feature a single camera lens.
Design wise, the M series will make use of a water-drop notch which has risen to prominence recently. We have seen the same design of notch on the recent OnePlus smartphones. This type of design is by far the best implementation of the notch given how minute the whole affair is.
Moreover, Samsung has not made available any information pertaining to the specs. However, it has been rumored for a quite a long time that the M30 will feature a gigantic 5000 Mah battery. The display is rumored to be around 6.2 inches on M30 and 6 inches on M20. There is also confirmation that the smartphones will be capable of fast charge over USB-C port.
Moreover, the M20 is rumored to feature an Exynos 7885 SoC, 3GB of RAM and storage options of 32GB or 64GB. This is all we know regarding the specs of any one phone from the series.
Samsung Galaxy M Series Launch and Price
As mentioned earlier, the M series by Samsung will be launched in India first. Sales will be made through Samsung website and Amazon India. As for the price, nothing is confirmed yet but it is believed that the most feature-heavy smartphone from the series, M30, will retail for around 200 USD.
