Marvel’s Spider-Man is the latest in Sony’s catalog of exclusives that look fantastic. From swinging around in the open metropolis of New York City to the intense combat against the iconic rogues gallery, Spider-Man looks to be the latest treat from Insomniac Games for fans to lose themselves over. All that is made even more exciting when we consider the latest rumor that Spider-Man NG+ and Ultimate Difficulty are set to be a day one patch to the game.
This rumor comes from a Spider-Man enthusiast Evan Filarca. Who is the leader and founder of the Spidey Squad, which is a “community that builds excitement and keeps YOU updated for everything and anything Spider-Man!”. The following image highlights the rumors:
So What’s New about Spider-Man?
If we are to believe what this then two massive new additions are coming. A New Game+ mode which will let you play through the games but with all your abilities and gear. And an Ultimate difficulty mode for fans who like to be significantly challenged. There have been earlier hints that there may be a New Game+ mode in Spider-Man. Back in June, we saw this rather interesting Twitter thread:
That would be cool

As you can see, the creative director for Spider-Man thinks it would be cool for there to be a New Game+ mode to Spider-man. Apart from Spider-Man NG+ and Ultimate Difficulty, this rumor also suggests that there will be a photo mode, complete with fun stickers and goofy frames. And we all know Spider-man wouldn’t be Spider-man without engaging in photography!
All in all, things are coming together nicely for Sony’s latest major project. Whether these features make it into the Game or not, we will see. It’s not far now. Marvel’s Spider-Man releases on September 7th, 2018. Mark your calendars!
