Red Dead Redemption 2 is easily this year’s most anticipated game and Rockstar’s release after GTA V that came out back in 2013 for Xbox 360 and PS3, over the years it has been made available for current gen as well and has become the 3rd highest selling game of all time, selling over 100 Million Copies. The pre-load for Red Dead Redemption 2 has started and you can begin downloading the game now if you have pre-ordered it, but something interesting has shown up, and it seems that Xbox One X users might be able to download a Red Dead Redemption 2 4K Texture Pack as well.
Red Dead Redemption 2 4K Texture Pack
The rumor comes from an image provided by Twitter User Kevin Beaumont, who has posted a screenshot of the menu that shows something very curious
EXTREME GAME NERDITY ???? Red Dead Redemption 2 has optional 4K texture pack on Xbox One X (makes sense considering entire game playable in first person). pic.twitter.com/4IxCZI7BcL

Okay, so what this is, is when you hold RB+LB with start and select buttons at the same time, some interesting information about the game you’re currently downloading shows up.
There you can see that it says “Available:Xbox-Scorpio”, which only shows up in this particular menu, when a game has optional 4k textures available to download, and we can’t be more excited.
Nothing has been confirmed at this point from Rockstar, so while there is a very good chance that the optional 4k textures will be downloadable given how Xbox One X supports true 4k, it could just mean something entirely else.
