PlatinumGames is the studio behind many critically received games in the previous console generation. With Bayonetta, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Vanquish only a few titles to name. It seems that alongside Bayonetta 3, the video game studio is developing 2 other titles.

PlatinumGames is up to something behind closed doors.

PlatinumGames and Nintendo have had a long-lasting partnership that led to Bayonetta 2 with Nintendo as the exclusive publisher. The game was a Wii-U exclusive that later got ported to the Nintendo Switch earlier this year. The studio did announce Bayonetta 3 but since then there has been pin-drop silence from the studio.

According to some new information, PlatinumGames could be developing 2 other games alongside Bayonetta 3 for the Nintendo Switch. One of these could potentially be a re-release of The Wonderful101 for the Nintendo Switch was also had abysmal reception on the Wii-U. Perhaps the studio is looking to repeat Bayonetta 2’s success with re-releasing a popular favorite game?

While the third game is a mystery, we can only hope that Nintendo does put the spotlight on these games too as PlatinumGames has proven themselves to be a formidable studio when it comes to producing some top-quality video games.

The information further adds that Bayonetta 3 is targeting a 2019 release window alongside the second game in the third. This has to be a given since the long-silence on Bayonetta 3 has made fans worry about the development of the game despite the massive success of the games on Nintendo’s systems.

While there is still no confirmation on any update from Nintendo regarding Bayonetta, we can assume that once Smash Bros. Ultimate is out the door, we can look at a good line-up of games to please Nintendo Switch gamers in 2019.
