Recently Nintendo Russia basically announced that Nintendo Direct is coming soon. A few minutes ago however, Gamespot tweeted something that’ll surely be everything Nintendo fans want right now, check out what they put out and deleted seconds after tweeting regarding Nintendo Direct January 2018,
45 MINUTES? Does that mean that the most anticipated Nintendo event of the year MIGHT be starting in half an hour? Either Gamespot really messed up here or we’re about to get a bunch of announcements, reveals and information very soon. There is no question that the tweet was fake, since

You can clearly see that the tweet by Gamespot has been saved is definitely there, even though they had instantly deleted it. Multiple users are coming forward with proof of the existence of the tweet so either Gamespot is trolling heavily here or they slipped something they had no idea was supposed to remain hush-hush for the time.
Here's the one that I took. Either Nintendo asked to postpone and CM forgot to re-schedule, either Gamestop CM fucked and scheduled too soon. Can't be just GameStop looking for heat on fake info, never seen them troll their fans that much. pic.twitter.com/O2LPOuh6fd

While the event itself is surely to announce quite the stuff, fans are most eager to hear about the very suspicious rumors that have been surfacing like Bayonetta 3 seeing a Summer 2018 release date, or the fabled Nintendo Switch firmware 5.0.0 video that came out a few weeks ago.
Nintendo has stated that after having spread and made their console accepted by gamers, their main focus is to launch many titles going into 2018, multiple third party publishers and developers have signed in with Nintendo to release titles for the Switch, including EA, Ubisoft, Square Enix and even FromSoft, will we be finally seeing some of the announcements made VERY SOON?
If this catches up, it’s safe to assume that Nintendo will have to comment on this as there’s already quite the catch-up going on twitter, with multiple users showing evidence of the existence of said tweet.
