Jak and Daxter is a legacy series for Sony starting with the PlayStation 2. Developed by Naughty Dog, the series has been quite dormant said for its re-releases on the PS3 and PS4 with no proper game for the series seen. Ratchet and Clank managed to make a comeback on the PS4, but the iconic duo are yet to get a next-gen debut. A mysterious listing on Nintendo’s website has some hidden PNG files which suggest that Jak and Daxter For Nintendo Switch could be happening.
Jak and Daxter For Nintendo Switch – Yes, You read that right.
The most curious part of this listing is how Sony still holds the rights to Jak and Daxter. While Naughty Dog hasn’t worked on Jak and Daxter and has moved their skillset to games like the Uncharted series and The Last of Us games, it seems that Sony is relying on HD re-releases to keep fans of the series loyal.
According to Twitter account NintendoPNG, the name speaks for itself. The twitter account for some reason is dedicated to harvesting PNG images from Nintendo.com. While the specific address of the images is still a mystery, there is some doubt on the authenticity of the images.

The images are attached below for your reference.
You can see that the listed games are Jak and Daxter Collection, Jak and Daxter – the Lost Frontier and Daxter. The PSP exclusive game.
All of this is just speculation at this point, but when looking through the users previous tweets they are all genuine PNG files of Nintendo’s other games, and plus the user would have had done some elaborate photoshop skills to make these screenshots look this good.
All in all, we have yet to hear back any official word from Nintendo on whether or not Jak and Daxter is actually headed for the Nintendo Switch.
For now, take the images as rumor and with plenty of salt to make sure your hype is in check. Albeit the series would be a perfect fit on the Nintendo Switch, plus we have seen Crash Bandicoot and Spyro return to all other platforms which used to be exclusive to the PS1. Although rights Crash and Spyro never were under Sony, they just had the console that housed them.
