RUMOR: Fortnite Marshmello Collaboration Coming in February 2019

It seems that Marhsmello’s manager, Moe Shalizi, has dropped a big hint on their Instagram story. The story is now 7 hours old does hint that the business manager has big plans for a Fortnite Marshmello Collaboration Event coming up in February 2019. Could this mean something for the game along the lines of music? Let’s wait and see what lies in wait.

Fortnite Marshmello Collaboration – Ringing In The New Season?

You can go to the manager’s official Instagram account and browse through their stories, but as the stories expire after 24 hours, here is a screen cap below.
Keep in mind that Fortnite has yet to drop any hint or otherwise suggest that the collaboration is happening, so we will have to wait and see what can come from this. Considering the source of the information is the famous music artist’s own manager, it seems highly unlikely that this is something that isn’t bound to happen.

Depending on when the event takes place, we might also get a hint or perhaps Marshmello could be the way for Epic Games to ring in Season 8. Since Season 7 is expected to end on Friday, February 28th, 2019. While we have no clue on the role or relevance of Marshmello, we can hope for some limited edition skins, items, and emotes to be in the item shop.

I feel like Marshmello would be a great way to ring in Season 8, but if Fortnite is able to do something great with the artist now that we are past the halfway point with Season 7, would be phenomenal.

A History of Awesome Collaborations

Fortnite does have a history of collaborating, with big names like Wreck It Ralph 2, The Avengers: Infinity War, Selling NFL themed merchandise and more. It wouldn’t be out of the question for the game giant to collaborate with an artist like Marshmello.

Ninja also played Fortnite with Marshmello during E3 2018 and it was a fairly big hit for the both of them.

We will keep following the news very closely and you can count on us to let you know about the collaboration as more details surface in the future.
