Fallout 76 was officially announced to be the next entry in Bethesda’s post apocalyptic RPG franchise. The Fallout Franchise has gained critical acclaim ever since Bethesda reinvigorated it. Bethesda is very careful when it comes to revealing it’s new games. So the rumor that Fallout 76 release date leaked, could upset them. Whats more pressing, is that the release date is all but officially confirmed, after a picture was uploaded to Reddit.
Fallout 76 was announced by Bethesda on May 30th, 2018. They put out a teaser trailer to reveal their new game. The trailer itself is what we have come to expect from a Fallout game’s trailer: classic music, followed by many different shots of various items and locations, all without revealing too much, or anything at all.
The rumored leaked release date is all but confirmed now.
The Fallout 76 Amazon Release Date Leak
A pre order listing posted on the e-commerce website Amazon.com showed that the game would be available to the public on 31st July, 2018. It is unknown whether. The listing on Amazon, however, has since been edited to display Jul 31st, 2019. Whether it was an error or actually Fallout 76 release date leaked is still up for debate. While both the original and the edited date could have just been place holders, not uncommon to see, whenever the game releases, Amazon will definitely be one of the retailers selling it. However, a picture has surfaced on Reddit that basically confirms the release date on Amazon’s original posting. The blurry picture shows that Fallout 76 was planned to be released on 31st July 2018.
Other Rumors of Fallout 76
While the trailer was fantastic, and showcased many different environments and objects, it does not give anything away. It is obvious that the game is centered around Vault 76, one of the many vaults that were constructed as long term bomb shelters/social experiment facilities. There is speculation that the game will be an online game, bringing the first multiplayer experience to the fallout franchise. Others speculate that it will be a single player game with a co-op mode or ability to play missions in co-op. It is also speculated that in one way or another settlements will be a part of the game.
