Rumor: Bloodborne 2 possibly hinted in FROMSOFTWARE’S Déraciné

Bloodborne 2

Déraciné

Déraciné is Hidetaka Miyazaki’s VR debut and the critical reception has been very divisive. While some are calling it a boring chore, others are praising its unique storytelling and gameplay elements. However, it seems that the possibility of Bloodborne 2 has been hinted in the game.

Bloodborne 2 hinted in Déraciné

There will be some minor spoilers in this post below.

With every FROMSOFTWARE game, there are numerous callbacks, easter eggs, and connections between the games, that fans over the years have found, some more convincing than others, and it is the same case with Déraciné.

So, in Déraciné there is a doll called the Fiona Doll that lets you interact with and perform a “Make contact” gesture, similar to how you perform the gesture in Bloodborne.

Fiona Doll Make Contact Gesture

YouTuber Amazing Komaru made this discovery and you can see the gesture in action below

Alright, so a gesture is one thing, and it could just be a reference or callback to Bloodborne, right? But what’s really interesting here, is the description of the doll, which reads the following

A doll of the stone girl Fiona who appears in the unfinished tale.

When a person has a bad dream, Fiona appears and helps them flee.

“When a person has a bad dream”, aka Bloodborne, Fiona appears and helps them flee, this could refer to Plain Doll that helps the hunter throughout their journey in the game. The real thing to note here is how it mentions that the doll appears in an “unfinished tale”. Could this mean that FROMSOFTWARE intends to continue the story and possibility release Bloodborne 2 eventually?

We’re not sure, but this is a really good connection between the two games, even if this means nothing, and it could mean nothing at all, so take it with a grain of salt, it’s still a pretty awesome reference.

In other news, Brawlhalla just released on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.
