RUMOR: Assassins Creed Odyssey Is The Next Entry In the Series

Assassins Creed Odyssey

Its almost like clockwork that we have a leak for Assassins Creed happen, and it has successfully happened for almost all entries of the series for as long as time can remember. While the series has long since stepped away from the Italian era, to the other era’s with 2017’s Assassins Creed Origins taking place in Egypt, it seems that Assassins Creed Odyssey will take place in Ancient Greece.

The following information has appeared on jeuxvideo, that has gotten a first look at the game. While Ubisoft hit a massive home-run with Egypt, it seems that Greece is the next best choice for the series due to the popular warriors of the era, the Spartans, being popularized by many video games and movies, and who wouldn’t want to go toe-to-toe against these fearsome combatants?

Assassins Creed Odyssey Collectible Keychain

Assassins Creed Odyssey Keychain

While the keychain appears to be legitimate, an insider by the name of Arcticblue who has been a regular insider to the series has divulged information that the next direction of the series is set in stone and as always, we can definitely expect E3 to show off a grand trailer and reveal of the game at this years E3 set to take place in June and perhaps with a late 2018 release date.

There was also a similar leak on 4chan on the 19th of May which showed a ton of details, including multiple playable protagonists, naval combat, and plenty more details.

It looks like the keychain works as a pre-order incentive for people, so now would be a good time to pre-order your copy.

Keep in mind that this is still going to be treated as a rumor, even though the track record of Call of Duty and Assassins Creed leaks has almost always been on the nose, it is still always better to be safe than sorry, right?
