How to Root Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 G7102 on pre-rooted Android firmware?

There are several Samsung devices, though not so POPULAR yet their users want to have root access to their device In order to enjoy several tweaks. Here, we are talking about Samsung Galaxy Grand 2.

Well, the handset comes in two variants/models i.e. G7102 and G7105. The first one is a Dual SIM model while the latter comes with a Single SIM model with LTE support. Galaxy Grand 2 gets rooted here.

Now, let’s come to the actual procedure after considering the requisites. Below is the step-by-step guide for rooting Galaxy Grand 2 G7102:

1) First of all, download the pre-rooted Android Operating System OS. Extract the program on desktop in a folder.

2) Download ODIN3 v3.09 (Source 1 | Source 2). Extract it to the same folder and install it on PC.

3) Install Galaxy Grand 2 Drivers using Samsung KIES Mini.

4) Run ODIN on your PC and turn off your device.

5) Boot Galaxy Grand 2 in Download Mode by holding Power, Volume Down and Home buttons simultaneously.

6) Connect your device with PC via USB cable.

7) If ODIN tool recognizes your devices turning ID:COM section Yellow, it’s time to move one step ahead.

8) Click on the option ‘PA’ in ODIN and chose the downloaded firmware from Desktop.

9) Without making further changes, click on ‘Start’ to begin rooting.

10) Wait till the ID:COM section turns Green and a ‘Pass’ message displays, showing you have successfully rooted your device.

11) Now, remove the USB cable and enjoy the root access on Galaxy Grand 2 device
