Remedy Entertainment has posted a rather curious job listing on their career page which makes mention of their new project, going by the name of Remedy Entertainment Project P7, the new game has a lot of mystery around it.

While Remedy Entertainment has been under the radar since the release of Quantum Break for the PC / Xbox One in Mid of 2016, the studio is rumored to be hard at work on a new project, as they are aiming to recruit a Game Designer.

The Job listing starts off with a promising line:

Are you constantly thinking about intriguing ways to excite your players and keep them invested in your game’s world? Are you obsessed with lore and a desire to create rich content that communities will devour? Do you design challenge systems that are so moreish your players plan their week around them? Have you already designed the next Battle Royale? Are you always among the first to find Xûr?

While many game companies are getting on board the Battle Royale Bandwagon, with the most recent contestants being Epic Games with Fortnite and Crytek with Warface.

The current job listing which can be found here, mentions a lot of specifics.

Remedy is obviously talking PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds, which has set the pace for the entire Battle Royale Genre, and they touch upon Xur, an NPC in Destiny who sells legendary items during the weekends in Destiny.

While this is pure speculation at this point, one must wonder why Remedy posted such a precise and enticing job description?

A multiplayer game would definitely be in the realm of possiblity, but for a studio renowned in third-person narrative driven tales to enter the world of online gaming whether as a competitive arena or an MMO is a bold challenge.
