Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a 2018 action-adventure game from Rockstar Games. The title originally came out on consoles and was released on PC in 2019. Now, after months of its release, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been cracked by scene groups as well.

TheNerdMag does not support or advocate piracy in any way, though we do hold questionable views regarding DRM, so while we are sharing news regarding cracking, this in no way means we use or advertise said cracks. We urge fans to continue supporting developers that are bringing them titles to PC.

Unlike various other titles, RDR 2 didn’t use Denuvo protection DRM and instead used social club. However, just like Grand Theft Auto V was eventually cracked, so is Red Dead Redemption 2. This was cracked by the scene group Empress + Mr_Goldberg.

These scene groups have managed to crack multiple games over the past week including big titles like Death Stranding, Mortal Kombat 11, Total War: Troy, and more. This only means that scene groups are capable enough to even crack DRM protections that aren’t just Denuvo.

DENUVO VS PIRACY

Denuvo’s fight with piracy has been something amazing to witness. Scene groups have managed to crack games literally 3 days from release with titles like Hitman 2. However, at times pirates had to wait months and months for their favorite games to be available on torrent sites.

Various scene groups have joined hands in the fight against Denuvo. New groups like FCKDRM are consistently working on new ways to counter Denuvo.

Many games over the past few months have shown that performance without Denuvo has actually been better. This has been the case in DMC 5 and RE 2.
