RAGE 2 BFG 9000 Limited to only Deluxe and Collector’s Editions

RAGE 2 BFG 9000

BFG

Rage 2 is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Avalanche Studios in conjunction with id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is coming out in a few days and we’re very excited about it, however sadly the RAGE 2 BFG 9000 will be limited only to certain editions.

RAGE 2 BFG 9000 not available in the Standard Edition

The BFG is one of the most iconic weapons in video game history and has been featured in a lot of id software games. It’s one of the most badass weapons to wield and makes every enemy turn to nothing in seconds, and since RAGE 2 is another id game, it has it as well.

However, there’s a big catch, which was confirmed by Bethesda on a Reddit thread, that the BFG will not be available for people that have purchased the standard edition of the game, and is a premium weapon available only in the deluxe and collector’s editions.

This is a pretty weird decision by Bethesda, as if someone wants to try the weapon out, they’d have to buy the edition that costs $20 more than the regular one, and it’s a shame because these weapons are some of the best things about id games.

RAGE 2 Release Date

RAGE 2 is headed to PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on May 14th, 2019.

While you’re here and are interested in getting the game for PC, make sure you check out the RAGE 2 system requirements as well.

Despite the gun not being present in the standard edition, we’re still very excited to see what id and Avalanche have cooked up for us, and hope that they deliver the chaotic formula of id and the explosions and driving of Avalanche studios.
