Radeon Vega 20 Got Leaked by AmdGPU Linux Drivers

AMD launched its RX Vega series back in 2017. The idea was to further enhance the gaming experience for gamers. Previous AMD Vega 8 and Vega 10 were integrated GPU’s compatible with Ryzen 7 APU and Ryzen 5 APU respectively. Recently there has been a lot of talk about the new addition AMD might make to its Vega series. Particularly, people have been anticipating the AMD Vega 20.

Some technology enthusiasts make sure to leave no stone unturned when it comes to digging for information. Recently, AMD Vega 20 patches for Linux have been found that give us some information regarding the new upcoming GPU. It was heard before that AMD will release the new card in later part of 2018. Now we know that it is under works.

What We Know About AMD Vega 20:

Like the previous entries in AMD’s RX Vega series of Graphics Cards, the Vega 20 will also be based on the VEGA GPU architecture. We are also aware that this new card will be die shrunk. Speculations and indications say that the new Vega will have a 7nm  production node, but we have no official word on that as of yet. For all we know, it can range from 7nm to 12 nm. At least 6 device IDs were mentioned in the Linux patch entries that referred to “Vega 20”. This GPU is said to be more capable for high level computing, especially in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. It is most likely that just like its predecessor the Vega 10, AMD Vega 20 will have 64 CUs / 4096 shader processors working for it.
