PS5 vs PS4 Pro Performance Comparison Demoed by Sony for Spider-Man

PS5 vs PS4 Pro Performance

Marvel's Spider-Man

Sony has given us a general outlook on what we should be expecting for the PS5, and everything about it sounds very exciting. The next generation console will utilize some of the top hardware specifications, and at the same time be affordable for consumers. Now an official Sony presentation has given us some of the PS5 vs PS4 Pro performance demos demonstration.

PS5 vs PS4 Pro Performance Comparison

This is an official demonstration by Sony, and they’ve compared some of the best looking titles available on the current generation, Marvel’s Spider-Man, developed by Insomniac Games. Check out the comparison for the loading time below

The loading time for the PS4 Pro, which is the more powerful variant of the PS4, takes a whopping 00:08:10 seconds to load the game, when traveling from one section to another, and the PS4 only takes 00:00:83 seconds, which is less than a full second.

There’s also a bit of fly through demonstration, and while the PS4 Pro had to load the next area for a bit, the PS5 had no issues zipping through the entire map without any form of stutter.

This just goes on to show how powerful the RAM and SSD used in the PS5 is, and how fast the loading times are expected from next-generation consoles.

“Anytime, Anywhere, Without disconnections”?

This is what the company has used to describe its seamless feature. We’re unsure what this means, but there’s a good chance it has to do with streaming, and Sony has been working on improving their cloud architecture.

No, it’s not going to be PlayStation Switch, get that out of your head.
