PS Vita Emulator

Earlier we talked about the emulator for Nintendo Switch called Yuzu, and how Switch Emulation may become something actually possible in a while, now it seem’s the PS Vita might share a similar timeline, since the PS Vita Emulator has been able to boot a game, check out details below.

Given the success of CEMU and RPCS3 for PS3, it was imminent that the Vita would be getting an emulator sooner or later, which is called Vita3K.

PS Vita Emulator: Vita3K

Vita3K is the world’s first experimental open-source PlayStation Vita emulator for Windows and macOS. The PS Vita emulator can be downloaded from their official website.

PS Vita Emulator Boot’s first Game

The emulator called Vita3K has been able to boot up Gal*Gun: Double Peace, as shown by the official account of the emulator

This is definitely the most Vita game possible to be emulated if or booted up if you ask me, but this shows that the decently old Vita is finally getting attention in the emulation sector.

However, since this a fairly new project, things will take time until we see substantial improvements. Currently, no official titles are supported except for Gal*Gun: Double Peace, however, several homebrew games have successfully managed to run on the emulator along with previously mentioned Gal*Gun game that was originally developed for PS4, PS Vita, and Windows.

PS Vita Emulator: Homebrew Games

Ever since the start of the project, devs have managed to run a number of homebrew games on the emulator. Following are some screenshots of the games that run perfectly on Vita3k.
