Sony has posted a listing for a Cloud Engineer for a form of a distribution system, that will build a worldwide Content Delivery Network. This could mean that PlayStation 5 Cloud Streaming might just be a possibility.

Sony has put up a job listing for a Staff Software Engineer on the CDN Cloud Engineering team, which you can read below

As a part of Sony Interactive Entertainment, the Cloud Gaming Engineering and Infrastructure (CGEI) team is leading the cloud gaming revolution, putting console-quality video games on any device.

As a Staff Software Engineer on the CDN Cloud Engineering team, you’ll play a key role in the design and development of distributed systems which will help build a worldwide Content Delivery Network. This is a technical leadership role where you will be leading exciting initiatives and working with talented engineers to deliver cutting-edge solutions to our end users.

Now, before you go any further, let’s remind you, that PS Now is already a cloud streaming service that is available for PS users, so while there is already a cloud service, PS Now isn’t exactly the best one out there, and while Sony is constantly trying to improve it, it’s still not working at its 100%.

The rumor territory starts now because there were reports that next-generation consoles might focus much more on Cloud streaming and gaming in general, and while there isn’t any solid evidence to really support that, this new listing could suggest that PS5 could run entirely or have better cloud support, allowing multiple-device streaming without any issues and more.
