Microsoft Office for iPad is coming soon

Microsoft Office for iPad is in rumors for years now. Back in June 2013, Microsoft released Office for iPhone. However the Office has not yet been optimized for support for iPads. There has been a lot of reports on Microsoft’s work on Office for iPad. But this project of Office for iPad is still in work. According to latest report from ZDNet, Microsoft will release its Office for iPad in market sooner than most people think. Office for iPad will require some Office 365 type subscription. This report is by ZDNet’s Mary Jo Foley and she has reliable source for Microsoft products news.

Here is the report from Mary Jo Foley.

“Office for iPad — which I’ve recently heard is codenamed “Miramar” — isn’t dead. In fact, it’s likely to make it to market ahead of Microsoft’s touch-first version of Office (codenamed “Gemini”) according to a couple of my sources. […]

According to one of my contacts, Ballmer OK’d the suggestion by the Office team that they’d bring Office for iPad to market as soon as it was ready, even though that would likely mean before the Windows 8 version. I’m hearing that new date for Office for iPad is some time in the first half of calendar 2014. (My sources last summer were hearing Office for iPad wouldn’t debut until Fall  2014.)”

Moreover, the Office will also feature OneDrive integration. Still there are no official words from Microsoft regarding it. Microsoft seems to neither confirm it nor decline it. But on the reliability of source, we can expect Office for iPad coming soon!
