We’re really excited about Nvidia Geforce GTX 1160 becoming part of Nvidia’s GTX 11 lineup, which is the non-ray tracing variants of their current RTX 20 series. Now, a listing for a Lenovo listing has pretty much confirmed the existence of these non-ray tracing cards in laptops as well.

If you head over to Lenovo’s official website, you can find the listing for their Legion Y530, Legion Y7000P systems, you’ll be greeted with the following specifications page

GTX 1160 Listing

Yeap, you read that right, that’s a listing for a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1160 powered laptop, and we can’t wait for this, furthermore, it comes in two variants, which have become Nvidia’s general memory allocation, which is 3 GB and 6 GB. The GPU is set to be based upon the Turing TU116 GPU model.

The laptop is Lenovo’s gaming lineup, and there are two more GPU options to choose from as well, which will change the price accordingly.

Keep in mind that this lineup does not include Nvidia’s Ray Tracing technology that is implemented in their RTX lineup, so you won’t be making use of that in the games that support it, like Battlefield V.

We’re expecting this lineup of GPUs to be much cheaper than their Ray Tracing counterparts, as the technology itself is quite something that adds to the price and Nvidia probably wants to make the GPUs more accessible to users who want to opt for a less than high range GPU.

This lineup of GPUs is expected to launch in January, and we’re expecting these Lenovo laptops to go on sale sometime around that as well.
