Nokia X2 Dual Sim – Specifications and Features

It has now been quite a while since Nokia first introduced the Android power – X smartphones. The target market was mainly Asian countries like India and Pakistan. This was due to the fact that people still demand Nokia phones who are not yet aware of other big companies and yet demand it to be an Android smartphone. Now Nokia has announced its successor, the Nokia X2.

The very first Nokia X phone was released before Microsoft acquired operations of the Nokia smartphone area. Nokia X, the predecessor, was more of an experimental smartphone that targeted the low-end mobile market. But the fact that it remained in the market was due to the powerful operating system, Android.

Now there is the Nokia X2. And it is expected to be more powerful. Reason being the design and production of the smartphone under the supervision of Microsoft.

The Design

The Nokia X2 is a pretty remarkable hand-held device. It shares some similarities with its predecessor. Though it comes with the same bright plastic design but has a shiny translucent outside layer.

Other features the Nokia X2 include a square, chunky shape and multiple colors to choose from. The color range include orange, green, yellow, black and white. As the tradition follows, the tones are loud. The device is bulky as it weighs 129g and stand at 10.4mm.

The Display

The display of the Nokia X2 has been increased to 4.3 inches, but comes with the same 800 x 400 resolution. It is an IPS panel mobile device, which is unusual for low-end mobile devices.

The Processing Power

It runs on a fast dual-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 CPU and has a 1 GB of RAM. This is double than the original Nokia X.

The Camera

The improvements of the camera are much appreciated. The Nokia X2 features a 5MP camera which has been improved from 3MP.

Release Date

The Nokia X2 launched on the 24th of June, 2014 in several countries. It is retailing at just $135.

Conclusion

Despite being a Microsoft invention, Nokia X2 lives on the OS of Microsoft’s biggest rival. Also the Nokia X software 2.0 resembles that of the windows phone. As expected, services owned by Microsoft such as Slype, OneDrive, Outlook and Bing have been included in this device.
