Nikhil ‘Forsaken’ Kumawat Caught Cheating at CS:GO Competitive LAN Event in India

Today is a bad day for e-sports in India. The famous e-sports team, Optics, has a black sheep in their midst after it was discovered that they were using hacks during a competitive LAN Match. As Nikhil ‘Forsaken’ Kumawat Caught Cheating at CS:GO. Caught red-handed at the Intel Zowie Extremesland tournament, Nikhil ‘Forsaken’ Kumawat has been accused or suspected of cheating in the past but was never caught. The player and his team have been disqualified from the tournament and this is a big blow to the competitive CS: GO scene.

Suspicions arose during the tournament due to the clip posted below where Nikhil started presenting unusually well-placed on the enemies, with each of them being headshots. When the Intel Team tried to probe Nikhils PC, they were met with lack of cooperation until he was forced to comply. That’s when his hacks were uncovered.

Nikhil ‘Forsaken’ Kumawat – Caught Red-Handed At Intel Zowie Extremesland Tournament

There are a series of follow-up tweets from patrons at the event who recorded the incident and saying that there was a visible shock in the crowd would be an understatement.

As of the incident, the Nikhil and his team have been disqualified from the tournament with them set to return home on the next available flight.

What is disappointing is how the India team was the first chapter of Optic expanding its e-sports presence to the world, but this is definitely going to be a black mark for the main team as this is a shock. What is disappointing is how this also casts doubts on the team as a whole just because of the individual.

A statement was released by Optic Gaming International Development Director, Jesel Parek.

The player caught with hacks has been released from the organisation, we do not tolerate anything like this.

We want to apologize to all the other teams and organizations involved.  We also want to apologize to our country and to the fans who have supported us. This will be a big setback for the country, and it is really unfortunate that one selfish person is capable of causing this.

An official statement will be released soon by the organization, but I want to make it very clear that the other four players had no knowledge of this and would never have agreed to even play if there was even the slightest hint of it.

You can see that there is thorough disappointment all-around. There have been reports that Nikhil has always been suspected of using hacks in LAN tournaments.

Currently, only Nikhil has been removed from the Indian team and it seems that Optic has yet to release a statement on their representation in the matter. Until further word comes in, let’s hope the best for the remaining Indian team.
