Microsoft has brought a critical update to Windows Phone 8.1. The update has brought the OS version to ‘8.10.14203.306’. It is not a minor update, at all. The new Windows Phone 8.1.1 update has got some useful features as well.
Here are the new features that Windows Phone 8.1.1 update has got:
- Battery Saver improvements
- NTP (Network Time Protocol) enhancements
- OS Update Scheduler
You can now add Battery Saver to Notification Center. This gives you Quick Action feature for Battery Saver. To do so, head to settings > notification + actions. Also, Battery Saver has now got a live tile that shows real-time battery status.
The last is OS Update Scheduler. Microsoft has added Windows 10 feature to Windows Phone now. You can now schedule time for Windows Phone to ‘check for updates’. The time is set to 3 AM by default. You can change it by heading to settings > phone update.
