EIDOS Montreal and Nixxes have released a new patch to address the Shadow of the Tomb Raider crash on Nvidia RTX graphics cards. Many threads have been created on Steam and other forum type websites like resetera and Reddit. The posts had many people complaining about keep crashing on DirectX 12 on Nvidia RTX card series.

Patch 4 Details
Ever since the game release, EIDOS Montreal and Nixxes have released 4 patches including this one to fix multiple issues related to the game. This hotfix addresses the crashes when using the NVIDIA GeForce RTX2080 or RTX2080Ti GPUs with specific driver and OS versions.
Another thing that this patch came with is a fix for visual corruption and flickering particles and waterfalls on certain GPU hardware and driver versions. Audio issues related to the use of Windows Spatial Audio for Dolby Atmos have also been addressed by patch 235.5.
The update will be automatically downloaded on Steam.

- Fix for audio issues introduced by patch 235.3, related to the use of Windows Spatial Audio for Dolby Atmos. For now, we have disabled Atmos support while a full fix that will work for all players is under investigation.
- Fix for crashes when using NVIDIA 2080 or 2080Ti NVIDIA GPU’s with specific driver and OS versions.
- Fix for visual corruption and flickering particles and waterfalls on certain GPU hardware and driver versions.
