Mozilla in works on a new streaming stick, will compete Chromecast

Mozilla is gradually making its way to other IT segments. After the popular web browser Firefox, the company came up with Firefox OS. The company is already working on a plan to make $25 smartphone. The prototype has already been shown. Along with this, the developers are also making some Firefox OS apps. This whole startup is in initial stages at the moment. But, we can expect it to grow in the future if more services are added. Considering it, Mozilla is now in works for the development of new streaming stick!

The streaming stick will be named as ‘Netcast’ and will compete with Google Chromecast, straight away. You will be able to plug Mozilla steaming stick in your TV HDMI port to watch HD movies, TV shows and music etc. online. You can even have access to channels like YouTube and Netflix, right from your TV.

However, the streaming stick will have distinction over its counterpart i.e. Chromecast. The device will, itself, be powered by Firefox OS but will be OPEN. Hence, it will capable of operating on many multiple platforms. The developers can even integrate the stick on apps and other hardware devices. Amazing!

Our source has also brought a video of the prototype. Have a look,

Wow! The streaming stick will have support to some Chromecast-enabled apps straight away.

Currently, we can’t predict any release date for the product. But hopefully, we will be getting the device till the end of the year.
